Paul is co-Head of the Henderson Equity Partners’ infrastructure team and Chairman of John Laing plc.

Paul has been active in the concession-based infrastructure market since 1998 and has over 25 years of infrastructure experience including privatisation, corporatisation, restructuring and project finance in the transport infrastructure sector globally. Since joining Henderson, Paul has invested over £1 billion, directly or indirectly, in concession-based infrastructure.

Prior to its demerger in 2003, Paul was Global Head of AMP Henderson’s Infrastructure investment business and was involved in a wide range of acquisitions, exits and funds including the A$800 million Diversified Utilities and Energy Trust, launched in 2003.

Paul has a BA (Hons) in Politics and Economics and is a member of the Institute of Transport and Logistics.

Henderson Equity Partners

Henderson Equity Partners is the private equity and infrastructure operation of Henderson Global Investors and had £1.3 billion under management as at 30 September 2008. Henderson Equity Partners’ Infrastructure team invests in the concession-based infrastructure sector focussing on social, transport and environmental infrastructure principally in Europe, North America and Asia.

The team manages the £330 million Henderson PFI Secondary Fund L.P. and the £573.5 million Henderson PFI Secondary Fund II L.P. In December 2006, the infrastructure team successfully completed the £1 billion public to private purchase of John Laing plc and is currently fundraising its third fund, Henderson Infrastructure Fund III L.P.
