Adrian Ewer, Chief Executive, John Laing
After qualifying as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Adrian pursued his finance career with key posts in Chloride Group plc, Akai (UK) Ltd, the Ratcliffe Group Ltd, and as Group Treasurer for Lilley plc prior to joining John Laing plc in 1991. Adrian was appointed the Group’s Deputy Finance Director in March 1995 and Group Finance Director in June 1999, and became Chief Executive on 1 June 2006.

John Laing is a specialist owner, operator and manager of public sector infrastructure assets in the UK and internationally. John Laing has built an enviable reputation as a market leader in the privately financed form of infrastructure renewal and modernisation now recognised as a key element of public sector procurement policy.
This reputation has been built on the success of more than 50 varied projects including the award winning MoD HQ in Whitehall, London, the Second Severn Crossing, Chiltern Railways, ground breaking hospital and school projects in many of the UK’s major cities, the E39 road in Norway and the A1 road in Poland. More recently John Laing became a leading provider of primary healthcare facilities under the LIFT initiative and has established itself as a major player in the housing regeneration sector.
Keys to the success of these projects are the long-term partnerships forged with Government and public authority clients.
