Alberto Germani, Chief of PPP/PFI Operations - Italy, EC Harris Italy
Alberto Germani, 48, chartered Civil Engineer with specialization in transport infrastructure, mastered in Business Administration at SDA Bocconi University in Milan, has been working since early ‘80s as site engineer, project manager and controller in the field of construction and public works: underground excavation (Milan, linea 3), High Speed Railway (Alta Velocità Torino – Milano – Napoli), hydraulic works (Save Venice program), road construction and tunnelling in Italy and abroad.
In the 90’s Alberto has developed an experience in technical and financial advise, feasibility analysis and eligibility of public and private investments. He was appointed Chief of Project Evaluation Dept. for Europrogetti & Finanza Bank (Cassa Depositi and Prestiti Group), with more than 700 projects evaluated in the areas of industry, tourism, agriculture, public infrastructures.
From 2000 he has worked for the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers as member of the PPP Task Force, being from February to June 2004 the head of the Task Force.
He has been project leader for PPP’s evaluation and implement, on behalf of local and central public administrations, in the fields of public transport (Milan and Rome Underground), roads and railways (Turin – Lion HSL), healthcare (new Mestre hospital, the Four Tuscany hospitals), water distribution, energy, for a total investment amount of more than 20 billion €.
From 2008 he has joined EC Harris Italy as Head of PPP/PFI.
