
Dr. Marcus Kleiner studied Politics, History, Economic History and Economics at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the University of Tübingen from which he graduated with a Masters degree in 1985. Thereafter he worked as an assistant at the University in Munich and published a study on the subject “Regional economic promotion in Bavaria” for which he was awarded a doctor´s degree.
In his capacity as Head of Transportation and PPP within Project & Commodity Finance in UniCredit’s Markets & Investment Banking, Dr. Kleiner has an indepth knowledge of Project Finance business and has been responsible for a range of prestigious arranger mandates like the Athens ring road, Ankara, Antalya and Istanbul Airports, acquisition of VTG or ZPR, Germany’s first kraft pulp mill.
