Ajay Pathak is a Partner in the international funds team at SJ Berwin. He specialises in advising fund sponsors on the structuring, marketing, operation and management of private equity, infrastructure, debt, hedge and other alternative investment funds. He also advises on spin-outs, establishment of new asset management businesses, partnership matters, co-investment arrangements and incentive schemes.
In the infrastructure arena, he has recently advised on a number of infrastructure debt mandates, including on fund and managed account structures as well as on other bespoke investment structures, including open-ended and hybrid fund structures. Clients he has acted for in this area include Macquarie, Hermes GPE, Hastings, First State and Investec.
