Selçuk Yorgancioğlu, Executive Director & Turkey Country Head, Abraaj Capital

Since joining Abraaj last year, Mr. Yorgancioglu has worked on the acquisition and subsequent partnership with Turkish premium hospital operator Acibadem Healthcare, as well as units Acibadem Insurance, A+ Catering and Acibadem Project Management. He started his career at Interbank in Turkey in 1992. Between 1993 and 1998, he worked for ABN AMRO in Amsterdam and London as part of the Emerging Markets Investment Banking Group. Between 1998 and 2000, he served as an EVP and Head of Investment Banking at Finansbank Group in Turkey. For seven years from 2000, Mr. Yorgancioglu was at Deutsche Bank in London as a Managing Director with the Emerging Markets Investment Banking team. In his final year at Deutsche, he was the bank’s CEO in Turkey, managing 250 people, and overseeing the banking, brokerage, asset management and mortgage businesses.
