
Serkan Elden is a Managing Director of PineBridge’s private equity business in the Gateway markets of Turkey, the Middle East, Russia/FSU and Africa.
Prior to that, Elden was the CEO of Fintur, a US$1.2 billion multi-country Eurasian telecom co with c8.5 million subscribers, where he led the acquisition of MCT Corp, doubling the regional portfolio of the company.
Elden was actively involved in the development of the regional private equity industry; with his management roles at AIG’s funds in Turkey and Silk Road countries and his role as a Senior Investment Officer of the U.S.-Government backed Enterprise Fund. He carried several of his investments to public markets, including the London-listed oil & gas junior, Burren Energy, and Istanbul-listed Galatasaray Sportif, a sports marketing JV between Galatasaray Football Club and AIG.
Elden holds an MBA from University of N.Carolina and a BSc.EE from Hacettepe University. He is a board member of the AmCham-Turkey (ABFT); a member of the Turkish Corporate Governance Association, American Turkish Society and Endeavor-Turkey. In addition to his native language, Turkish, he speaks English, Russian, Azeri and is learning Arabic.
