Produced in partnership by PEI and CMBOR (The Centre for Management Buy-out Research), European Buy-outs Report is published twice per year in the form of a full and half-year report. It is available for purchase on a subscription-only basis. 


European Buy-outs Report contains an overview of the European private equity market, with trends of buy-out activity since 1985. It has been produced since 1989 to complement UK Buy-outs Report, which provides in-depth coverage of the UK buy-out market.


Both the full and half-year reports contain a separate analysis of the buy-out market in 15 European countries covering:

In the full-year report the first section contains a comprehensive overview of the European private equity market, with analysis of trends and statistics from CMBOR's comprehensive database of European buy-outs, including deal sources and sectoral trends. In addition, statistics are presented on US-backed deals, funds raised, deal pricing, structures and exit trends, together with identification of major deals in each country.
