Mikhail Ivanov, Partner - Oil & Gas Investments, Baring Vostok Capital Partners
Mikhail Ivanov is a Partner at Baring Vostok Capital Partners and is responsible for Oil and Gas Investments. He assumed a CEO position of one of the fund portfolio companies - Volga Gas in 2006. The company successfully debuted on AIM IPO in April 2007 and continues its aggressive growth.
Mikhail has over 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry which includes 10 years working for the Schlumberger Group, beginning his career with Schlumberger Limited as a Field Engineer in Siberian Russia and concluding as a Business Development Manager, based in Moscow.
During his time with Schlumberger Limited, Mr Ivanov also acted as a Field Service Manager and Operation / Country Manager in Iran. Mikhail holds an M.S. degree in Geophysics from Novosibirsk State University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. He is an elected member of SPE.
