Craig Jarchow is a Managing Director at Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC, a private-equity firm specializing in the energy and financial services industries.  He is a Partner in the energy practice at Pine Brook and has more than 15 years of experience in the energy business.

Mr. Jarchow came to Pine Brook from First Reserve Corporation, a $12-billion private-equity firm specializing in the energy industry, where he was a Partner and responsible for deal origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit of oil & gas transactions.  Before that, Mr. Jarchow was with Apache Corporation (NYSE: APA) acting as an Advisor to the President & CEO, Exploration Manager for the Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico, and Director of International Exploration and Business Development. Mr. Jarchow joined Apache Corporation from Amoco Corporation.

Mr. Jarchow holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in geophysics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America, a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and serves on the Stanford School of Earth Sciences Petroleum Investments Committee.
