Mr. Schmidt is the Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Capital K.K. and is the Head of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Private Equity in Asia. 

Mr. Schmidt has been with Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing for 12 years and has previously headed investing in Japan and asset management in Asia. 
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Schmidt worked at KPMG real estate consulting in the US for 8 years.

Mr. Schmidt received a BS in Business Administration and Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara.
