
Mr. Al-Tarzi is the Investment Manager of Al Nahla Group of Companies, a Saudi Arabian family business conglomerate active in investments, telecommunications, trading, and real estate projects in the Kingdom, in the MENA region, and in Africa.
Prior to joining the Al Nahla Group, Mr. Al-Tarzi worked for Merrill Lynch as a member of the best performing team throughout the EMEA region, catering to the investment needs of the region’s largest corporates, investment entities and family offices. Mr. Al-Tarzi was fundamental to the growth of the team and worked on several high-profile transactions alongside different teams from Merrill Lynch London and Hong Kong.
Prior to that, Mr. Al-Tarzi worked for MIBC Group, the investment banking arm of Concord Asset Management in Cairo, Egypt. Concord is the leader in the private equity space in Egypt with offices in New York, Cairo, and Tokyo.
Other work experiences include roles at Permal Asset Management in London and Pitcairn Properties in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Al-Tarzi is a board member of Corecap LLC. Corecap is an investment and advisory firm that offers compelling investment opportunities in alternative asset classes in the MENA region to sophisticated institutional and high net worth investors. Mr. Al-Tarzi is a board member of Mauritius-based Smile Telecom. Smile is a low-cost telecommunications operator providing affordable communications to consumers throughout Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Al-Tarzi is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and the Egypt International Economic Forum.
Mr. Al-Tarzi is a graduate of the American University in Cairo and holds a BSc in political science, with a specialization in political economy and a minor in economics. He has also studied at the University of California, Los Angeles.
