Benjamin Newland, Partner, King & Spalding

Benjamin Newland is a partner in the Dubai office of King & Spalding. Mr. Newland's practice covers a broad range of financial and corporate matters, with particular emphasis on private equity fund formation and investment transactions, as well as corporate mergers, acquisitions and leveraged buyouts, including Shari'ah-compliant buyouts and investments. Mr. Newland also has extensive experience in securities offerings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, corporate restructurings, corporate governance, privatizations and other business matters.
Mr. Newland received his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School. He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Columbia University in New York, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
