Mr. Rashed is co-founder and CEO of CORECAP, a leading alternative investment firm in the Middle East. CORECAP’s board of directors and management team combine over 270 years of investment experience in diversified industries. The team has executed a list of regional landmark transactions and is backed by some of the region’s preeminent investors.  In 2008, the firm was recognized as a New Champion by the World Economic Forum and selected as a member of the community of Global Growth Companies for its unprecedented growth, innovation and leadership.

Prior to founding CORECAP, Mr. Rashed held several positions in the financial industry. He was the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Amwal, Qatar. He was also Vice President of Abraaj Capital where he was involved in the entire value chain of the firm’s private equity business.

Mr. Rashed was formerly part of Dubai Islamic Bank’s senior management team, and prior to that with the Commercial International Bank, Egypt.

Mr. Rashed is a member of the Young Arab Leaders Organization, the Gulf Venture Capital Association and the Egyptian Capital Market Association.

Mr. Rashed holds a Master’s degree with Honors in International Business Administration from ESLSCA University in France and a Bachelor’s degree of Commerce from Helwan University in Egypt.
