Welcome to the inaugural Infrastructure Investor: Asia, hosted by PEI Media.
Infrastructure has traditionally been perceived as a low risk, low returns asset class in developed countries but this is certainly not the case in most parts of emerging Asia. Witness the emergence of a host of new funds in the past 18-24 months in pursuit of opportunities across a region where infrastructure development has largely been lagging behind growth. Infrastructure returns from India for example are closer to 20 percent, compared to single-digit returns in many developed nations.

 | The influx of funds and new types of investors, however, could change the way infrastructure investments will be implemented in the future. Mark was appointed as Chairman for Palisade’s Regional Infrastructure Fund in August 2008. His role as Chairman is to assist in securing assets using extensive experience and his focus on regional development and infrastructure.
