Stephen Marsh, Founder & CEO, Smarsh Inc.
Stephen Marsh founded the hosted email and electronic message archiving and compliance provider Smarsh Inc. in 2001 and he now oversees the operation with more than 15,000 clients worldwide. The company helps firms manage and enforce flexible, secure and cost-effective compliance and records retention strategies, and many of the private fund industry’s leading firms are leveraging Smarsh experience to meet SEC electronic recordkeeping obligations and navigate SEC registration and oversight.
Prior to founding the company, Marsh led product management and development efforts at CCBN, now a division of Thomson Financial, a market leader in investor relations communications services. He also gained experience at both Fidelity Investments and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
