Peter joined J.P. Morgan in 1998 and has been based in London since January 1999, where he is currently a Managing Director and head of J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets, Real Estate Europe.  He oversees a pan-European investment business spanning core to opportunistic strategies executed through a number of funds and separately mandated accounts.  In addition to his responsibilities as European group head, he is the portfolio manager for the Greater European Opportunistic Property Fund, a member of both the Global Real Assets Management Committee and the Global Maritime Investment Fund investment committee.  From 1998 through mid-2004, Peter was at JP Morgan Partners, the private equity arm of J.P. Morgan, was responsible for the European investment activity of The Peabody Funds and served as co-director and a member of the Operating Committee of that fund.  During that period, Peabody committed over $500 million of equity (over $2.0 billion gross) to approximately 20 European investments in France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Spain and Poland in the residential, office, shopping centre and warehouse sectors.  At the end of 2004, after the completion of the investment period for the Peabody Funds, Peter was instrumental in the formation of the European Property Fund – an open-end, pan-European, mid-risk fund – and continues to serve as a member of its investment committee.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Peter was head of acquisitions for O’Connor Realty Advisors Incorporated, the fiduciary asset management subsidiary of The O’Connor Group with over $4.0 billion of investments under management on a separate account basis for large U.S. pension fund clients. During his 13-year tenure at The O’Connor Group (1984 – 1997), Peter was involved with the finance and acquisitions functions of all of The O’Connor Group’s businesses, including its separate account pension fund advisory business, Shopping Center Associates (a private REIT) and The Community Center Fund (an institutional partnership).
Prior to joining The O’Connor Group, Peter was employed for two years with Mobil Oil Corporation.  Peter graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S.-Chemical Engineering 1980) and the University of Chicago (M.B.A. 1984).
