Alison Taylor is the Associate Director for the Middle East and Africa Corporate Investigations team in Control Risks, London. Since joining the company in March 2003 Alison has worked on a wide variety of projects, but has focused exclusively on business intelligence in the Middle East and Africa since April 2004. Alison has managed a wide range of business intelligence and due diligence investigations throughout the Middle East and Africa, including large-scale, sensitive projects in Zambia, South Africa, Uganda and Nigeria, and political intelligence and business climate assessments in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Angola and Algeria. She now manages a team of specialist regional investigators, based in London but drawing on resources in Control Risks’ Dubai, Algiers and Lagos project offices.

Alison has extensive experience in journalism, country risk analysis and management consultancy. She graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University with a BA in Modern History, and also has an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago, specialising in economic development policy in emerging markets.

Alison has worked as a journalist, editor and research manager for companies including Law Business Research and the Press Association. From 1997, Alison worked as a Corporate Strategy consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago, San Francisco and London, specialising in e-commerce strategy, consumer products and retail.
