The global infrastructure market is booming – analysts suggest that trillions of pounds are required to maintain, improve and expand infrastructure to meet the needs of growing populations across the globe. Where will this money come from? Some of it will come from governments issuing bonds and raising taxes, but a large part of that amount will have to come from private sources.
This creates an opportunity for private equity fund managers and astute limited partners who want to broaden their investment portfolio to invest their money in this new asset class, that promises compelling and stable returns on investment.
This, our second global infrastructure forum, looked at infrastructure from the diverse perspectives of governments, fund managers and investors. Seasoned practitioners discussed specific aspects of private equity infrastructure investing in detailed panel and interactive workshop sessions. The forum also provided a platform for those involved in this dynamic sector to come together, network and leave with new ideas to add value to their businesses.
