In today’s challenging economic environment, the job of the CFO and COO is more crucial than ever to the well being of the firm and to the industry in general.  The professional managers and administrators at private equity firms are now regarded as crucial aspects of a firm’s infrastructure. The largest private equity firms are getting larger, and achieving operational excellence will become a priority for firms to stay competitive.

Limited partners today demand to see private equity develop into an industry in which risks are systematically controlled, systems are demonstrably in use, investors are consistently kept abreast of developments good and bad, and value is added by dint of the GPs being smart, not lucky.

In all these areas, the private equity firm managers are playing progressively more influential roles. At this year’s Forum we will focus on how the CFOs and COOs interact with limited partners and portfolio companies and how they are managing their respective firms to perform at an institutional level and in a regulatory environment of increased scrutiny.
